My top 3 best university stage play for 2015!

1. Para Kay B ng Teatro Tomasino

Teatro Tomasino 38th season a stage adaptation of the legendary scriptwriter Ricky Lee’s acclaimed novel, Para Kay B, as its first major production.

Deldoc opens the play with the recurring preposition that according to statistics out of five people, only one will end up happy in his/her relationship—“Me quota ang pag-ibig. Composed of five different stories of love, Para Kay Bexplores the different facets and perspective on the definition of love, loving, and being the beloved. It delves into the complexity of finding love and happiness amidst the harsh reality of life as each character struggles to find redemption in their own different versions of love.  The play continually engages the audience into the colourful world of the eccentric characters until they question themselves, “Kasama ba ako sa quota?”

2. # R </3 J ng Dulaang UP

#R</3J retells the story of the star-crossed lovers transforming Verona into a concrete jungle at the heart of Metro Manila – teeming with corruption, revolt, advertisements, sex, social media and condominium units. This theatrical project seeks to dramatize, through a pastiche of movement, music, intertext, video and design, the postmodern tragedy of our generation.

3. R.U.R. (Robot Unibersal ni Rossum) ng Tanghalang Ateneo

"R.U.R. (ROSSUM’S UNIVERSAL ROBOTS/ROBOT UNIBERSAL NI ROSSUM)" is a science fiction classic by Czech writer Karel Capek. Originally written in Czech, this Tanghalang Ateneo production will use a new Filipino translation by Palanca winner Guelan Varela-Luarca. The play is about the rebellion of human-like creatures called robots that leads to the extinction of the human race. The danger of man’s desires of a utopian and totalitarian world is one of the play's central themes.
