Powerhouse Journey : Sto.Cristo de Longos

Ang ikalawang destinasyon na aming pinuntahan ang Chinese Catholic Cross .

Isa sa mga atraksyon sa Binondo ay ang Chinese Catholic Cross kung saan patatagpuan ito sa may bandang Ongpin cor. San Nicolas Streets.

O mas kilala ito sa tawag na "Where Chinese Buddhism meets Mexican Catholic".

Madalas mapapa isip ka kung paano o pude ba talagang pagsabayin ang dalawang kultura o relihiyon ng mga Buddhism  at Catholic.

Pero base na rin sa akin nakita mukhang pude naman pala.

| Post Sign : Sto.Cristo De Longos, ay isang altar na may maitim na krus na kahoy na nagmula sa Mexico, na kung saan nagsisindi ng insenso ang mga tao at mag-alay ng panalangin sa harap ng pinakong Kristo.

According to Witsandnuts: " Story tells that a mute-deaf Chinese found the image of the crucified Christ in this particular spot (i.e. it was an old well). Incidentally, he regained his speech after that. 

Accepting the miracle, the parish priest of the Church of Hospital De San Gabriel made a cross for the crucified image. When the church was destroyed by the 1883 earthquake, the image was transferred to its current location, Binondo Church."
