Isa sa mga the best na puntahan ng mga engineering students o maging isang house designer ay ang Escolta.



Bakit? Simple lang naman dahil ang Escolta ay isa sa mga pinakamagandang desensyo ng mga gusali noong panahon ng mga Kastila. Tinatawag nila itong Neo Classical Design.

Ilan sa mga sikat na nagdesign sa mga gusali dito ay si Andres Luna de San Pedro.

Sinu nga ba si Andres Luna de San Pedro? According to the historian 
Andres Luna de San Pedro is the son of Juan Luna to Paz Pardo de Tavera. Born in Paris, he set foot in the Philippines with his father and uncle, the great Antonio Luna. He was taught painting in Manila’s School of Arts.

    I used to hang out in Escolta when I was still in college. trip ng mga tropa ko jan dati. Yeah, korek, gaganda ng mga buildings jan. sayang lang, di na naaasikaso..

    my father used to work around escolta so one time i walked with him there as he explained which buildings used to be the nicest.

    it's nice that you get to feature it.

    i never stepped on Escolta.
    i used to study in FEU but that's way way back...
    yun lng alam ko sa Maynila at hindi kasi ako laboy eh kaya inosente ako sa mga lugar :(

    I can't clearly remember where Escolta is :D though I'm often out in college (more like Espanya and where the UAAP is held). Would love to recall hahah, looking forward to more!

    Escolta used to be one of the best places in Manila according to my mom. Sayang nga hindi namaintain.
