Powerhouse Journey : Burke Building - Escolta


Isa naman ulit Art Deco na makikita sa Escolta ang Burke Building.


Narito ang ilan sa mga impormasyon at kasaysayan sa Burke Building.


Ayun sa kaysayan ang gusaling ito ang may kauna-unahang elevator sa Pilipinas.

Sinu naman ang may gawa ng elevator, walang iba kung di si Ginoong William J. Burke.



Sinu naman si William J. Burke? Narito ang marker na nilagay ng Historical Institute of the Philippines

    i never took notice of the buildings in Escolta kaya siguro di ko din napansin itong Burke Bldg...thanks for the share! now i have to look for it when i go to Escolta...

    Nice naman at still standing pa din ang Burke building kahit old na and hindi sya napapabayaan unlike the other old buildings in Manila

    naintriga ako sa elevator, gumagana pa ba elevator? Is it the Old type elevator, na may metal grills lang? or not that old, na di nalalayo sa mga elevators ngayon. Puntahan na nga lang haha
