Tell me about yourself that People do not know: I am a simple guy. I love to travel a lot, look at different cultures. I also love music, i play the guitar and piano.

What is your current state of mind before we continue with the interview: I am very pleased that there are people who appreciated my works/photos in the SM Southmall Gallery Exhibit that led me to this interview.

How did you get started in photography: It was travelling that gave me the desire to learn how to use/utilize my first DSLR camera

Did you go to school to study photography: I took different photography sessions at FPPF in Intramuros like Basic Photography, Wedding Photography, Strobist, etc. I won 3rd place on our class on human activities, I also won 1st place in portraiture and another 3rd place in still life in FPPF that gave me more desire to hold a camera.

What camera do you use: I am a Nikon User. I use Nikon D700 Fullframe camera but no offense to other camera brand users, its not about the camera, it is just a tool and we create the image it just happened that I owned a Nikon camera Coolpix 4300 in 2003 and a Nikon D40 in 2005 a Nikon D60 in 2008.

How would you characterize your style of photography: Before I love to take landscape during sunrise and sunrise, but as time pass by I got in love with portraits that led me to be a wedding photographer.

Who or what influenced you to become a photographer: travelling!!! I got sad after travelling to different countries and not making good images or a good moments out of my trips.

How did you become a photographer? And when did your career start as a professional photographer: I became a photographer probably in 2003 where I bought my 1st camera in the US, then became a professional photographer in 2012 after I took up classes in photography.

How did you go about selling your 1st photograph: my 1st client as a pro photographer is a 7th birthday celebration of a half Filipino and Arab, they were satisfied with the output/album and we became friends in facebook

What makes a good Photographer in your opinion: First of all is attitude, you need to be good to your clients, be honest with them and just do your best. Second a good photographer is always punctual, gears are always ready, already researched on what kind of project is there.

Favorite walk around lens: my favorite walk around lens is Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8, though it’s a bit big, the quality of this lens is amazing.

Can you share with us some of your image:

Most important equipment: id say all of them, my camera, my lens, my flash, lights, just the absence of one of these I cannot create a better image to satisfy my clients.

The most rewarding part of photography: travel! I got to see different towns, different churches, and different people 

Embarrassing experience: when we cover a wedding and suddenly I accidentally bump the flower stand trying to get a good shot and it fell.

I know you been working with some of the famous and influencial people in the country but may I ask whom do you wish/dream to work with and Why? I would love to work with the National Geographic Team! For me they have the most amazing photographers in the world. In our country I would love to work with any of our top 10 wedding photographers.

For aspiring photographers the tips that I can give is: go to a photography school and don’t be satisfied with your work always aim higher

What are the best tools for a beginner to learn on (besides the camera)? Best tool for a beginner is any camera with  Manual mode and definitely learn how to use the flash or lights

What are the pros and cons of being a photographer? Please be specific. Pros and cons: I am like capturing special moments and I am against using photography as a tool to destroy other people’ privacy

I know you like traveling for shoot or even for chill-out, can tell me where is the best place to be to do some shoot? and why there?
The best time for me to take pictures is sunrise and sunset time in an outdoor photoshoot

What goal are you working towards within your photography and when will you know you have reached it? My goal is to become an international wedding photographer. Im planning to reach that goal in 5 yrs so that’s probably 2017.

What photographic organizations do you belong to? Right now I don’t belong to any photography organizations, probably in a year when I gain more experience

Name a photographer you would like to take a portrait of? A photographer I would love to take a portrait of is definitely Mr. Joe McNally

If you weren't a photographer or a multimedia artist, what would you want to be? Why?
If I am not a photographer I would still be an entrepreneur of any business

How do you see yourself 20 or 30 yrs from now? What legacy you will leave on? 20-30 yrs from now im planning to teach young photographers how to use the camera with all the knowledge from the books and experiences I gained in that long period of time.

Any final mesage? Its your time to shine.. To all aspiring, new photographers like me, just keep on taking pictures. Follow great photographers and make them your inspiration. Do not stop when you feel like your good enough and try to reach higher goals.

Pasalamatan: I would love to thank FPPF my photography school for teaching me a lot, to all my clients who trusted me specially last yr in my first year of being a professional photographer.
