What is Earth Hour and how its started? According to the WWF in March 2007, WWF-Australia inspired Sydney residents to show their support for action on climate change by switching off their lights for an hour. The 60-minute light-out event, named Earth Hour, showed that everyone, from children to CEOs and politicians, has the power to change the world they live in. In 2008, the plan was to take Earth Hour to the rest of Australia. But it wasn't long before 35 countries, including Philippines, agreed to be part of the event.
