Vinyl on Vinyl's Inauguration Night

Artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts flocked on Wednesday to Vinyl on Vinyl’s new found home at 2135 Warehouse II, Don Chino Roces Ave. in Makati to see the gallery’s inauguration show which features the works of some seasoned and young artists. The art gallery’s newest spot has now bigger capacity, double the size they had from their former location at The Collective.

A group show “ Extended Play” was also heldat the main alcove of the gallery featuring the works of artists such as Kris Abrigo, IganD’Bayan, ElmerBorlongan, Dex Fernandez, Luis Lorenzana, to name a few. Each artist was handed out an actual vinyl record to use as their canvas resulting to a various series of artworks. The use of vinyl record is a witty execution to play with the gallery’s name, Vinyl on Vinyl.

Third exhibit was “Sehnsucht”, a two-man show by artists Iyan de Jesus and AnjoBolarda installed at Vinyl on Vinyl’s loft. The show showcased these artists’ perfected series of portraits with intricate details.

We expect Vinyl on Vinyl to hold more shows in the coming days and continue making the local art scene much alive.
