Movie Stars Café

Im so glad that I invited last 12 of July for the Grand opening of the Movie Stars Café at SM Mall of Asia Seaside. And Guess what, I didn't expect the place but so happy for what I saw, its really amazing from the main entrance to the staff/crew and ofcourse to the humble Chef Jonathan Jota.

Before anything else what is Movie Stars Café, how its started?

Movie Stars Café is the Manila branch of an international Japanese franchise.
A Studio Café that offers a Hollywood-like experience through a movie-themed ambience.

Showcasing life-sized figures and props from different movies and hundreds of framed autographs that surround every corner of the restaurant, we serve dining not only through our exceptional dishes but with an entertaining flavor of a surreal mix of fact and fantasy. With our 300-seater capacity, our Café is like a big studio that comes with a multi-dimensional variety of sensory delights. Aural cravings are satisfied with a playlist comprised of the owner’ s own selection of movie soundtracks; visual treats are provided by the non-stop performances punctuated with brief interludes; and a feast for the taste buds is in store with
our film and celebrity-inspired menu, prepared our Master Chefs, served to you by our ever
friendly servers which we refer to as “Actors” who also double as performers and cosplayers.

Movie Stars Café brings you grand, Hollywood-scale production numbers to remember

Everybody loves an exhilarating performance. That is something that we believe in and with this in mind, being the newest and classiest gallery café in Manila, we decided to stage snippets of productions based on some of the most beloved Hollywood productions like the tragic musical “Phantom of the Opera” which has been adapted to film and the sprightly “Grease” about two lovers in a 1950s high school.

Aside from the aforementioned, we also take pride in putting together our very own version of the Disney animated epic “Lion King,” and vignettes provided by such iconic movie characters as Barbie, Spiderman, Darth Vader from “Star Wars” and Ironman.
And the even bigger treat is that you can enjoy all these fantastic production numbers without paying for an admission ticket. You can even bring your friends and loved ones to dine and wine while watching our talented and ingenious cast and production staff weave magic on the vast stage of a one-of-a-kind dining and entertainment venue.

Theater actor and director Terrence Guillermo as the Phantom and soprano Jenny Garcia as his inamorata Christine relieve the drama, the mystery, and the heartbreak as the star-crossed lovers of “Phantom of the Opera.” It will be a thrill to hear the familiar love anthem “All I Ask of You.” Versatile singer Philip Deles plays Raoul while Miguel Mendoza of “Pinoy Dream
Academy Season 2” alternates with Guillermo in the coveted role of the Phantom. Hazel Grace Maranan and Marielle Mamaclay are part of the ensemble.

“Grease,” however, invites you to take a stroll down memory lane as Geoff Taylor, grand winner of the GMA-7 singing star search “Are You The Next Big Star?” and Genesis Jane Ryan, the talented younger sister of TV star Princess Ryan, portray Danny and Sandy which were brought to life in the original film version by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, respectively. Coming--of-age songs like “Summer Nights,” “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” and “You’re the One That I Want” are sure to put the crowd in a nostalgic mood. Meanwhile, in our take on “The Lion King,” you’ ll get to encounter once again the well-loved characters from the Pride Lands like Simba, Mufasa, and Nala and the unforgettable movie theme “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” Marvel at the costumes and props, some of which were imported from Japan and the others especially made by the townsfolk of Paete, Laguna, the wood-carving capital of the Philippines. Allan Dale Alojipan and Fil-Italian looker Ilaria Pandolfi headline the big cast.
