Plazuela de Sta. Isabel

One of the plaza inside the Intramuros, Plazuela de Sta. Isabel.

Plazuela de Sta. Isabel is located on the corner of General Luna and Anda Street.

The Plazuela de Sta. Isabel is part of Santa Isabel College which lacked an open space characteristic of Spanish buildings. Empty lot called Sampalucan along Calle Anda joined to enlarge plazuela in the 18th century.

Plazuela de Sta. Isabel Monument

This monument was built in memory of more than 100,000 defenseless civilians who died during the battle for liberation of manila which occured between February 3 to March 3, 1945.

The non-combatant victims of that tragic battle will remain forever in the hearts and minds of the Filipino people.
