From 20 to 22 March 2026, the NPVW 2025 Exhibition transformed the Ayala Museum into a showcase of diverse perspectives from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao that reflected the passion of local communities. With the theme “Contrasts,” the exhibition captured layers of Filipino life, from the walls of Intramuros to the historic Magellan’s Cross in Cebu, and Quezon Park in Davao, revealing fresh and insightful ways of seeing the familiar.

A.G. De Mesa with the guests

Acclaimed Filipino photographer, curator, and educator, A.G. De Mesa, guided visitors through the exhibition, sharing insights into the techniques, perspectives, and stories behind the showcased works. He led special walkthrough sessions, giving visitors a closer look at the creativity and contrasts captured in the exhibition.

The moment of recognition brought forward the exhibition’s most compelling works. From thousands of submissions meticulously captured across the country, the most exceptional stood out for their ability to capture the depth, diversity, and sense of place. Each reflected a distinct perspective shaped by culture, community, and everyday life.

In the Open-to-All Category, standout works were awarded to Mark Albert Serrano from Luzon, Gem Almund Cañada from Visayas, and Abdel-Aziz Masjiril from Mindanao, each presenting a powerful interpretation of “Contrasts.” They were awarded a FUJIFILM X-E5 camera with an XF23mm F2.8 kit lens to support their continued journey in storytelling.

Within the FUJIFILM Exclusive Category, Benedic Torres for the Photo Category and Paul Christian Catoera for the Video Category were recognized for their exceptional entries, demonstrating excellence in both still and motion storytelling. Torres received a FUJIFILM X-T5 paired with an XF16-80mm kit lens, while Catoera was awarded a FUJIFILM X-H2S paired with an XF33mm F1.4 lens, equipping them to continue capturing stories that resonate.

A special touch to the celebration was Fuji-san– a handmade collectible by Cebu-based artist Happy Garaje. Representing the spirit of the Nationwide Photo and Video Walk, it embodies curiosity, communication, and the joy of capturing the world through photography. At NPVW 2025, 100 limited-edition figurines were given to walk leaders and partners, while exhibition winners received them as a memento of their artistry and creativity.

Beyond the awards, the exhibition celebrated the communities and stories behind each frame, where creativity, pride, and perspective converge. It reaffirmed a simple truth: the soul of a city is found not just in its landmarks, but in how its people choose to frame them.

President Masahiro Uehara of FUJIFILM Philippines

NPVW 2025 has truly shown how photography and videography can bring communities together and reveal stories that might otherwise go unseen,” said Masahiro Uehara, President of FUJIFILM Philippines, Inc. “Through the theme of ‘Contrasts,’ participants captured the richness and diversity of Filipino life, turning everyday streets and landmarks into narratives full of meaning and heart. This is exactly what we hope to achieve, connecting people through their shared vision and love for the craft.

The Nationwide Photo and Video Walk 2025 Exhibition was not only a celebration of talent but also of a community reconnected through a shared passion for storytelling.

Looking ahead, FUJIFILM Philippines continues to champion creativity, connection, and storytelling with the upcoming FUJIFILM Festival for the Community, by the Community, happening in May 2026.
