Tell me about yourself that people don't know: Simple guy who wants a simple yet rock and roll life.

What is your current state of mind before we continue with the interview? am I really doing this???

How did you get started in photography? My brother wants to learn the art of photography so I bought a Nikon D40 but he is still on his studies and he seldom use it so I decided to give it a try, I automatically get addicted to it and the rest is history.

Did you go to school to study photography? I don't have any formal training, I just shoot and shoot and shoot, experimenting things, always treating my self as a newbie who is always hungry for knowledge and to try new things with this craft.

What camera did you use? my very first camera is Nikon d40 then d80 shift to d90, now I use Canon 6D

How would you characterize the style of your photography? Hmmm I think contemporary, I like being unusual i love shooting on unusual places, i love to give a different look on a very familiar places.

Can you share with us some recent images? One of the memorable shoots weve done recently is our engagement session in Divisoria

And what's the story behind it? The place is too crowded and not so safe we are all aware of that, there are people who is shouting to us because we are blocking the way some teases the couple but we are just lucky that are client trusted us and they are still cool and calm enjoying our shoot.

Who or what influenced you to become a photographer? My friends in the hobby

How did you become a photographer? And When did your career start as a professional photographer? I started my photography journey july of 2009 trying shooting landscapes street photography model shoots, product shoots etc. I joined a small organization named EON Photography they have lots of EB/gathering shoot sharing ideas and techniques in photography. I will forever be thankful that I got to be with this org, this is were I found my friends more of like a brother from another mother who'm I share my love and passion with photography. I started posting photos then some of my friends started asking and trusting me to do their wedding even if im just a newbie. I started posting on my multiply account as my portfolio same year September of 2009 I started doing freelance photography some are for free and some have minimal talent fee. April of 2010 I created my own studio shooting birthdays baptismal debut and weddings.

How did you go about selling your first photograph? A friend ask me if I can shoot their wedding and I said yes I'm offering it for free since that was my first gig but he gave me 1000 pesos, my very first paid shoot lol.

What makes a good photographer in your opinion? For me a good photographer is not just "skills and talent" a good photographer must know how to communicate with their subject, handles things in unexpected scenarios, honest, passionate, knows how to value his work, and work ethics not only with his clients but to his/her co suppliers.

Which one item of equipment would you say is the most important to you? my camera
What is the most rewarding part of photography? When the client shows gratitude for giving your best on shooting their special day. Priceless!!!

How photography change your life? This is my bread and butter. I can't imagine my self doing other things, I really love photography especially shooting weddings. I told my self that I will shoot until the day I lost my sight.

I know you been working with some of the famous and influencial people in the country but may I ask whom do you wish/dream to work with and Why?

Pursue your dreams, be passionate of what you are doing. Keep on shooting, keep on learning. Be humble.

The best tool is to learn to enjoy this craft, everything follows.

What is your favourite recent image you have shot recently? Can you describe it’s creation in regards to location, lighting, composition, camera settings etc, also your thoughts when creating the image and what it means to you? One of my fave from the recent that i've shot is the one on the balsa on wawa dam pitch blackwe are shooting on a high iso 8000, back lighted with portable led lights and the challenge is we have to go to the water submerege ourselves including my team mates just to get that shot. Luckyly it turned out well the way I visualize it.

What are the pros and cons of being a photographer? Please be specific.

Pros: You'll meet different people, gain friends, got to shoot on different places for free, you can provide better living for your family, you can help your friends by providing them work.
Cons: sometimes you forget your health, your social life, you missed an important family gathering. Sometimes even if its an emergency you have to go to your shoot because you are committed to it.

I know you like traveling for shoot or even for chill-out, can tell me where is the best place to be to do some shoot? and why there?
Unusual places like Plane hangars, warehouse, mine sites, other places that you least to expect to have a photo shoot.

What goal are you working towards within your photography and when will you know you have reached it? I dont have specific goal for my photography career I just want to shoot and learn. I think the time that I will stop shooting is the time that i could say that I've already reached it.

What photographic organizations do you belong to?
Philippine Wedding Photographer, EON Photography and JBNKZ Photography

If you weren't a photographer or a multimedia artist, what would you want to be? Why? Documentarist, visiting remote areas to document their stories so that people would be aware that there is people who needs our love and attetion, and so that the government will see the real situation and hopefully my documentaries would open their eyes at hearts to help those in need.

How do you see yourself 20 or 30 yrs from now?
hmm Teaching/sharing the art of photography inspiring others to inspire other people through their photographs.

What legacy you will leave on? hmmmm i cant think of anything lol hahaha

Any final mesage? Its your time to shine.
Just keep on shooting and learning, always treat yourself as a newbie that's hungry for knowledge for this craft. Be humble and enjoy this very beautiful art of photography.
When it comes to shooting weddings always shoot the wedding just like the passion and effort you put on your very first wedding gig. Value your photos, share your knowledge and inspire other.
