Hotel Sogo Launches ₱100K “SOGO DANCE REVOLUTION” for Filipino Crews

 Hotel Sogo has taken center stage in 2025 with the launch of its biggest nationwide campaign yet—the SOGO DANCE REVOLUTION, a dance showdown designed to celebrate Filipino creativity, teamwork, and passion for movement. With over ₱100,000 worth of cash prizes and staycation perks at stake, the competition promises to be one of the most exciting platforms for local dance groups this year.

A Nationwide Celebration of Filipino Talent

Open to groups of four to eight members, ages 18 and above, the contest encourages participants to showcase their originality and unity through a short 30–60 second video performance. More than just a competition, the SOGO DANCE REVOLUTION is envisioned as a movement that highlights inclusivity, digital creativity, and Filipino pride.

According to Hotel Sogo Marketing Manager Sue Geminiano, the project is about giving recognition to authentic talent:

“We want to highlight the real dance talent of the Filipino people—those who bring energy, rhythm, and positive spirit wherever they go. This contest allows groups to bond, express themselves, and possibly win big while doing something they love.”

How to Join the SOGO DANCE REVOLUTION

Dance crews must post their entries on TikTok, Facebook, or Instagram, using the hashtags:
#SogoDanceRevolution #HotelSogo #SogoDanceShowdown

Each entry must tag @hotelsogo, be set to public, and include family-friendly choreography. Groups also need to register through the official online form or QR code available at Hotel Sogo branches nationwide. The deadline for submissions is September 5, 2025.

Judging & Grand Finals

Entries will be judged based on:

• Dance Skills & Choreography – 40%

• Social Media Engagement – 30%

• Creativity & Overall Look – 20%

• Confidence & Energy – 10%

The finalists will face off in a Grand Finals Showdown, performing live before celebrity judges and an enthusiastic crowd. Aside from the grand champion title and cash rewards, finalists may also gain an opportunity for official ambassadorship. A Special Award for Most Engaged Group will also be given to the entry with the highest online virality.
