DITO Telecommunity Aligns With Konektado Pinoy Law to Empower Filipino Connectivity
DITO Telecommunity gathered industry leaders, media, and partners at the Manila House Private Members Club in Taguig for an engaging discussion on connectivity, innovation, and inclusivity. The event brought together key executives including Atty. Adel Tamano, Chief Revenue Officer, Miriam Choa, Head of Mobile Business, and Jasper Evangelista, Director of Brand Marketing, who collectively highlighted DITO’s mission to empower every Filipino through next-generation digital solutions.
The dialogue shed light on the importance of connectivity as an everyday necessity, especially in an era defined by streaming, artificial intelligence, and remote work. Choa emphasized that DITO’s prepaid and postpaid offers are designed with deep consumer insight, ensuring affordability and long validity periods to match the real lifestyles of Filipinos. Evangelista, meanwhile, explained how DITO’s postpaid Flex Plans break the notion that postpaid means expensive—delivering unmatched value and inclusivity.
Tamano underscored how DITO, as a digital-first company, was built from the ground up with modern infrastructure, positioning it to lead in 5G, home internet, and enterprise solutions. He also pointed out how DITO’s innovations, such as portable 5G home Wi-Fi and app-based services, are aligned with the spirit of the newly enacted Konektado Pinoy Law, which mandates broader access and stronger partnerships to ensure nationwide digital inclusion.
In addressing questions on the law, Tamano reaffirmed DITO’s full support, noting that what some telcos may see as a challenge, DITO views as an opportunity. Having already partnered with local ISPs and communities, DITO sees Konektado Pinoy as a platform to further expand access while ensuring strong cybersecurity and service levels.
The event closed with discussions on how connectivity empowers not just individuals but entire communities—enabling online businesses, education, remote work, and even grassroots initiatives. With its “Kaya DITO” campaign, DITO reinforced its vision of making world-class connectivity both inclusive and attainable, ensuring that no Filipino is left behind in the digital age.
